Andrew Douglas is General Manager of Platinum One and is based in London.
Andrew Douglas is 36. Andrew was a youth team player with Arsenal before moving to Sheffield Wednesday where, in his early twenties, he decided that he would not have a career at the top of the game so he retired and went back to full-time education. Following university Andrew returned to Arsenal as an executive and he progressed quickly within the club’s management and was given charge of the global Arsenal Soccer Schools. Here, he was responsible for the coaching standards, schemes of work, financial reporting and overall operation of over 30 separate soccer academies across 20 countries in four continents. These helped increase brand visibility worldwide, increase club membership numbers and generate additional revenue streams to the commercial department.
This blend of business and football experience, with a strong emphasis on the youth side of the game, as well as his character and personality made him an ideal resource for Platinum One.
Andrew is a licensed FA Intermediary and sanctioned to work with Minors.
“When I chose to leave the professional game, it was because I knew that I would not have the career that I had once hoped for. I wanted to look at a longer-term career prospect. Having seen and experienced the poor advice offered by some football agents, I was attracted to the ambition and approach of Platinum One. This agency absolutely is different, and the way we go about things is making people take notice, and that’s not before time as far as I’m concerned.”
